Hello☺️ I’m JingJing. We are a Korean couple currently studying in Malta.
Today, I’m sharing my experience at the University of Malta Library — a quiet, focused environment that beats any cafΓ© when you need to get serious work done.

1) Why Study at the University of Malta Library
As the main national university library, it offers a solid academic atmosphere. There’s a dedicated Quiet Zone for deep focus, far from the noise and distractions of city cafΓ©s. The smell of books and the soft sound of turning pages create the perfect study mood.
2) Facilities & Amenities
- Seating: Mix of single desks and group tables. Window seats have great natural light.
- Power Outlets: Well-placed around main study areas — a multi-plug can be handy.
- Wi-Fi: Stable campus network for research and downloads.
- Noise Level: Low ambient noise — footsteps and page turns. Noise-cancelling headphones are a plus.
3) Study Flow & Atmosphere
I recommend a 50-minute focus / 10-minute stretch routine. Peak times are around lunch and early evening — mornings or late evenings are quieter. During exam season, be ready with a Plan B seat just in case.
4) What to Bring
- Laptop & charger
- Noise-blocking gear (earplugs or headphones)
- Light cardigan — air conditioning can be chilly
- Water bottle & light snacks (follow library rules)
- Extension cord or multi-plug
5) Location & Access

If cafΓ© study is your norm, try switching to library mode for a day. Once you taste true focus, you’ll want to come back again!
