A Sweet Escape in Sliema: Cinnabon’s Cinnamon & Pistachio Rolls in Malta


Since starting our English studies in Malta, weekend seaside walks and café-hopping have become a cherished part of our routine. 🏝️



One afternoon, while walking toward Sliema after class, the warm, sweet aroma of cinnamon drifted through the air. My diet plans instantly vanished, and my feet followed the scent without a second thought. 😂


Just around the corner stood Cinnabon. Famous worldwide, it felt comforting to see such a familiar sign here in Malta — like meeting an old friend from home.






Inside, the bright, clean space with white tones, warm wood accents, and the gentle scent of baking bread made time feel slower.

There were also outdoor tables — perfect for enjoying a cinnamon roll and coffee with a refreshing sea breeze.☕☕


The display case was filled with freshly baked rolls: classic cinnamon, pistachio, caramel, and chocolate

The pistachio roll, topped with a generous swirl of green cream, looked irresistibly nutty, while the caramel roll promised a rich, indulgent sweetness.


Each roll cost about €3 — reasonable by Malta standards. Gift boxes were also available, making them perfect souvenirs for friends or host families.

Naturally, coffee was on the menu, and I could already imagine pairing these rolls with a cappuccino or latte for the ultimate treat.


I went for the classic cinnamon roll, while my husband chose pistachio. From the very first bite, the warm, sweet spice of cinnamon wrapped me in comfort.

The pistachio roll followed with a nutty richness that paired perfectly with coffee. 


We both agreed that next time, we’d sit down with coffee and take our time. The rolls were soft, moist, and perfect for melting away the day’s fatigue.
